]]> By: ASH https://churchabuse.uk/2024/12/16/yet-another-mis-statement-from-the-archbishop-of-york/#comment-267 Tue, 17 Dec 2024 18:04:05 +0000 https://churchabuse.uk/?p=325#comment-267 Whilst it is right to question the actions of the Archbishop of York for those of us that remember Tudor from his days in Southwark diocese it is somewhat frustrating that the story does not delve further into how he was not sought out before he commited so much abuse and was given free access to vulnerable girls by being made chaplain at an Anglican Catholic secondary school. Certainly the story in our community was that the Barbadian born Tudor was much protected by Barbadian born Bishop of Croydon, Wilfred Wood. Wood retired to Barbados where he still preaches, was he interviewed in connection with this or was any role he may have had in allowing Tudor to abuse so prolifically neatly tidied away?
