But Neely was posthumously revealed to be a child abuser. How do Anglican victims (or their families) feel-plus our Bishops and Archbishops-when they read the final three words of the Neely tombstone. Is the Church of Ireland situation also very poor? National Primate, Archbishop John McDowell, allegedly has a paedophile (Canon Billy Neely) buried by a doorway in a marked grave in his Cathedral seat’s consecrated burial ground. ‘Church of Ireland Notes from Irish Times’ has a April 27 2020 report-New Primate-‘The new Primate is a native of East Belfast where his faith was nurtured in Mount Merrion parish where the rector was the late Canon Billy Neely’. The Anglican Church in the UK is a horror story. KRWLAW posted: ‘Neely abuse: Church of Ireland Bishop ‘apologises’ for unnamed rector – ignores Belfast-Tipperary transfer’. The almost 50 year cover up of the W G Neely scandal is shameful. Why can Anglican Bishops, or Archbishops, still not finally name the late Canon W G Neely in 2025?

Church of Ireland Notes from ‘The Irish Times’ 27 Apr 2020 has a New Primate report with this sentence: ‘The new Primate is a native of East Belfast where his faith was nurtured in Mount Merrion parish where the rector was the late Canon Billy Neely’.

Is the new Primate, Rt Rev Archbishop John McDowell, positively celebrating the late Canon W G Neely here, a notorious child abuser whose abuse has latterly led to victim legal compensation with secrecy or NDA use?
